General terms and conditions
Last updated: 14 May 2026
These General Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the relationship between Aurelia London Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 03579214, with its registered office at 14 Hatton Garden, London EC1N 8AT, United Kingdom ("Aurelia London", "we", "us", "our") and any person ("Client", "you") who places an enquiry, commissions a piece, or purchases jewellery from us, whether in person at our atelier, by telephone, by email, or through our website at aurelialondon.co.uk.
By submitting an enquiry form, accepting a written quotation, or paying a deposit, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these Terms.
1. Definitions
"Bespoke Piece" means a jewellery item designed and produced specifically for the Client based on agreed specifications. "Catalogue Piece" means an item from our standing collection. "Order" means a written confirmation signed (electronically or in ink) by the Client following a quotation issued by us.
2. Quotations and Orders
All quotations are valid for 14 calendar days from the date of issue, after which prices are subject to revision in line with the prevailing market rates of gold, platinum and certified gemstones. An Order becomes binding upon receipt of the Client's written acceptance and a non-refundable deposit equal to 35% of the total price for Bespoke Pieces, or full payment for Catalogue Pieces.
3. Pricing and Payment
All prices are quoted in pounds sterling (GBP) and include UK Value Added Tax at the prevailing rate. Accepted methods of payment are bank transfer, debit and credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), and, for orders above £25,000, our 0% staged finance plan subject to status. Title to the goods passes to the Client only upon receipt of full and cleared payment.
4. Production Lead Times
Catalogue Pieces are typically dispatched within five working days. Bespoke Pieces require between four and twelve weeks from approval of the final design and CAD model. We will keep you informed at each milestone — design, casting, stone-setting, polishing and assay.
5. Hallmarking
Every piece weighing more than the statutory minimum is hallmarked at the London Assay Office in accordance with the Hallmarking Act 1973. The hallmark certifies the maker, the metal and its fineness.
6. Delivery
UK delivery is provided free of charge via Royal Mail Special Delivery, fully insured to declared value. International delivery is arranged via Brink's or Ferrari Group, with import duties and taxes payable by the recipient. Risk passes to the Client upon signed delivery.
7. Cancellation, Returns and Exchange
Catalogue Pieces may be returned in unworn condition, with all packaging and certificates, within 30 calendar days of delivery for a full refund. Engraved, sized or otherwise personalised items, and all Bespoke Pieces, are exempt from the right of return under regulation 28 of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. We will, however, always discuss reasonable amendments where a piece does not meet the agreed specification.
8. Warranty and Aftercare
Aurelia London warrants every piece against manufacturing defects for a period of two years from the date of purchase. Complimentary cleaning and resizing (one ring size up or down) are offered for the lifetime of the piece. Damage caused by accident, misuse, unauthorised repair or normal wear is excluded.
9. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death, personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, our total liability arising out of or in connection with any Order shall not exceed the price paid by the Client for the relevant piece.
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, save that consumers resident outside England and Wales retain the protection of the mandatory consumer-law provisions of their country of habitual residence.
